	in the wind

Far from the tree
	to which 'twas pinned

Away, away!
	in the cold northern breeze...

Winding through snow
	that long ago came from seas...

Leaf falling
	to the earth

Back to that
	which gave it birth

Leaf hidden in the snow
	forgotten, buried
	in a thick white shadow
